England Smash Seven To Reach Toulon Semi-Final

England Under-20s blasted their way into the semi-finals of the Toulon Tournament with a 7-1 victory over Cuba.

Sheffield Wednesday’s George Hirst grabbed a hat-trick in a dominant performance by The Young Lions, while fellow goalscorer David Brooks (Sheffield Utd) impressed alongside several other former LFE apprentices.

Ryan Schofield (Huddersfield Town), Joe Worrall (Nottingham Forest) and Josh Tymon (Hull City) also delivered accomplished displays.

With Japan and Angola drawing in the day’s early game, Neil Dewsnip’s team secured top spot in Group A and progression to the next stage, in emphatic style.

The Young Lions finish their group campaign against Japan on Sunday.
