Eastham Rejoins Cheltenham Town

Blackpool youngster Ashley Eastham has rejoined Cheltenham Town on loan ahead of their League Two clash with Grimsby Town today.

The 18 year old’s previous spell at Whaddon Road was terminated when Seasiders boss Ian Holloway recalled him amidst a raft of injuries and suspensions at the Championship Club.

However with that crisis now averted, Cheltenham Manager Mark Yates has re-signed the centre-back and Eastham is set to go into Cheltenham’s squad to face the Mariners today.

“I’ve been actively searching for another young centre-back with some pace, power and strength,” Yates told the Club’s official website.

“Ash has got that, he’s one we know, he can slot straight back in and he’s a good character. Hopefully we can keep hold of him for a bit and help to develop him as a player so that he can keep on improving.”
