Drogba And Torres Challenge For Wycombe Apprentice Dunne

Wycombe Wanderers Apprentice Charles Dunne had the amazing experience of trying to stop Didier Drogba when the 18-year-old centre-back made his debut for Wycombe’s first team in a friendly against Chelsea on Tuesday.

Drogba was joined by the likes of Fernando Torres, Nicolas Anelka, Ashley Cole and John Terry in the Chelsea team that won 3-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Cobham.

Londoner Dunne, who is starting his second year on the ASE programme, came on as a first half substitute for Andy Sandell, while newly-signed first year professionals Anthony Stewart and Kadeem Harris also joined the action.

Most notably, 15-year-old Jordan Ibe came on for former Wycombe Apprentice Matt McClure late in the game.

Yossi Benayoun scored Chelsea’s opener on four minutes and two goals in four minutes from Torres and Rajkovic secured the win for Chelsea as they fielded a totally different but star-studded team in each half.
