Today was the first game, so in the morning we had a light training session, which consisted of a few sprints and some shape play, and then we went onto practicing corners and free kicks for and against. Kick off was at 7pm so we had a pre-match dinner at 4pm. We ate the usual pre-match food, pasta, rice, bananas and chicken. I couldn’t play in the first game because I wasn’t cleared in time by the NCAA clearing house so I had to just watch. We played a team from the division below called Milligan College and won 4-1.
Having begun the trip with a journey across the border to Germany for our clash with VFL Osnabruck, the players had a recovery day to relax a bit after such a busy start…Apprentices Pre-Season
