Darlington have signed striker Daniel Powell on loan from League One Club MK Dons.
The 19 year old will join the Blue Square Premier Club on a month’s loan.
Quakers boss Mark Cooper said: “Daniel brings us lots of pace up front, he’s very quick and he can score a goal.”
“He fits into the system that we’re trying to play. He’s only 19 but he has first-team experience with MK Dons and has played in the Conference with Crawley Town and Forest Green Rovers, so he knows the division.”
“He’s young and hungry and has the pace that we’ve been looking for. We’re still hopeful of getting another new face in before the weekend.”
Powell has progressed through the Dons’ Academy, and completed the ASE programme at the end of the 2008-09 season.
During that season he became the Club’s youngest ever goalscorer, rounding off a 3-1 win at Hartlepool on his senior debut aged 17 years 248 days.
A powerful forward, Powell spent the majority of last season on loan with Blue Square Bet Premier side Forest Green before returning to Dons and scoring on the last day of the season at Walsall.
