Chesterfield’s youth-team players wasted no time in uniting in their praise for LFE after their recent pre-season trip to Holland.
The Spireites U18 side didn’t have the best of times from a results perspective falling to consecutive 4-1 reverses to NEC Nijmegen and Feyenoord.
Their third match also ended up as a 3-0 defeat to a strong Vitesse Arnhem outfit.
Things improved in a final day mini tournament with a draw against Tranmere and two close games against Middlesbrough.
But while results may not have gone to plan the boys from the Proact Stadium clearly saw the benefits of their two weeks in the Netherlands as they build towards the start of their league season.
“Great experience in Holland, would like to thank ‘@LFEonline and @TrainingTrips” tweeted Jamie McNicholas.
Goalkeeper Jordon McCready echoed his team-mate’s sentiment via the social media platform tweeting, “Massive thank you to ‘@LFEonline and @TrainingTrips for the Holland tour, was a good experience of Dutch football and culture.”
Midfielder Eddie Dakwa added, “Back in England enjoyed the tour! Learnt a few things along the way too #experience #holland @LFEonline.”
