Charles Joins Frome Town

Former Luton Town striker Ryan Charles has joined Southern League Premier Division side Frome Town.

Charles, now 23, was an Apprentice at Kenilworth Road before signing professional terms in the summer of 2008. He made 27 appearances for the Hatters scoring 4 goals and has also played for Kettering, Kidderminster, Rushden, Cambridge and Newport.

Meanwhile, Michael Spillane and ex youth-team colleague of Charles, scored as Burton Albion came from 2-0 down to beat Derby County 3-2 in the final of the 124th Bass Charity Vase last night.
