Blades Boss Dismisses Maguire Manchester United Talk

Sheffield United manager has dismissed newspaper reports linking Harry Maguire with a move to Manchester United.

Several national newspapers have hinted that the 20-year-old is on David Moyes’ radar as he plans for the future.

Maguire has been a regular at the heart of the Blades defence since making his debut during the 2010-11 season while an apprentice at the club.

Weir is yet to hear anything though but believes this speculation indicates the quality of players he has at this disposal.

“I don’t know anything about it, but it is great news for our players to be linked with such big clubs,” he said.

“Harry has a lot of attributes, for a young lad he has played a lot of games, and I would not be surprised if clubs were looking at him but we don’t want to lose him.”
