Black Agrees Contract Extension

Oldham Athletic defender Paul Black has agreed a 12-month extension to his contract with the League One Club.

The 20 year old left-back has been at Boundary Park since he was 13 and is a graduate of the AASE programme.

He told the Club’s official website:

“If I had my own way I would have signed a 10-year contract because all I want do is play for Oldham. I was brought up in Oldham and my friends watch me playing for Oldham which is a dream come true.”

He added:

“The Club is in my heart and I look back to the days of Joe Royle and the team of legends who put smiles on faces. Hopefully at some stage we can get back to those days.”

Meanwhile the Latics have released six players, including first-year professionals and fellow AASE graduates Chris Rowney and Liam Dawson.
