Bennett Hopes For Posh Stay

Grimsby Town’s Ryan Bennett hopes that agreement can be reached to make his loan move to Championship Club Peterborough United permanent in January.

The 19 year old defender, who has come through the ASE programme at the Mariners, joined the Posh on loan a fortnight ago and made his Peterborough debut from the bench last weekend.

The youngster who has settled in well at London Road is now eager to extend his stay beyond January.

“It is obviously a big step up the leagues, but a challenge I am relishing. I will do whatever is required to improve,” Bennett told the Grimsby Telegraph.

“Obviously everyone wants to play as high as they can and this was the next step for me. Hopefully we’ll get something sorted and I’ll sign for the long term.”
