Macclesfield Town have signed former Derby County Apprentice Jason Beardsley on a one-year contract.
Beardsley has been training with the Silkmen and has done enough to win a deal for the coming League Two season.
The full-back came through the ranks at Derby, but made only two appearances for the club before leaving during the 2009-10 campaign.
The 21 year old had a brief stint in America with the Tampa Bay Rowdies earlier this year and had a trial at Oldham Athletic in pre-season.
Though he failed to earn a deal at Boundary Park, Beardsley has agreed terms to become Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson’s latest signing.
