Congratulations go to Lewis Fathers of Cheltenham Town as the October 08 Apprentice of the Month.
The young midfielder, now in his second year, joined the Robins U16’s and quickly made progress in the Youth team. After a challenging and difficult first year Lewis has come back this season with renewed desire and a determined attitude.
With the help and support of LFE’s Regional Officer and the Club staff, he has shown outstanding form for the Youth team and is progressing very well with all aspects of the ASE framework.
Lewis made his debut for the Reserves in October 2007 against Bristol City and also made appearances for the first team squad during the 2008-09 pre-season campaign. Last month he was called into the first team squad in a competitive match for the first time when Cheltenham Town played Walsall in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on 7th October.
