Congratulations go to Jamie White of Southampton as the December Apprentice of the Month.
Jamie is a 2nd year Apprentice at Southampton and has made great strides in both his football and academic work.
Winner of the Saint’s Academy Player of the Year and Top Scorer Prizes for the 2006-07 season, Jamie skills didn’t go unnoticed by George Burley and he was also called up for first team training last season. However, as bad luck would have it, in his first training session with the squad he snapped his cruciate knee ligament resulting in surgery.
Throughout this difficult time, his attitude to rehab and his dedication to his College work have been excellent. His presence at the training ground and all Youth team games whilst injured has been highly commended by the Club.
Pictured above is Jamie being presented with his Certificate of Congratulations and the Apprentice of the Month Cup by Academy Manager Matthew Crocker and Club captain Claus Lundekvam.
Now fully rehabilitated, Jamie has returned to training with the Youth team and is back amongst the goals.
