Aldred Signs for Workington

Tom Aldred

LFE Blogger Tom Aldred has signed for Workington Reds on a month long loan.

Aldred, 19, who completed his Apprenticeship last season linked up with the Reds after Carlisle’s Reserve match against Blackpool on Monday and boss Greg Abbott is pleased with the move.

Speaking to the Club’s official website Abbott said;

“Darren (Edmondson) always looks after our players and some proper football will do Tom good.”

“Tom needs regular football and we don’t have too many reserve games.”

Aldred is a Scotland U19 international and signed professional terms with the Cumbrians in December 2008.
