Ten sumptuous goals have been shortlisted by League Football Education, in the latest instalment of Goal of The Month. Showcasing the very best of Under-18 Academy football, this month’s competition is as competitive and coruscating as ever.
Andronicos Georgiou’s howitzer gets the ball rolling and he is joined by team-mate Luke Slater, who displays unmistakable finesse from the edge of the penalty area. Danny Divine (Gillingham), Dylan Garnett (Burton Albion) and Joe Re (Nottingham Forest) all find the top corner with stupendous long range strikes, while Millwall forward Mason Saunders, is another to finish from distance.
Wolves midfielder, Ryan Giles, makes quite an impression, with an eighty-yard solo run past several opponents before finding the bottom corner while MK Dons striker Sam Nombe appears for the third consecutive time this term. Tyrone Tucker (Bristol Rovers) and Matt Mayes (Portsmouth) add further variation and quality to the shortlist:
