LFE’s Goal of the Month competition is back for its second instalment of the 2017-18 season, with 10 stunning strikes in the running to follow Portsmouth striker Matt Mayes, who claimed the prize for August.
There are a handful of team-mates vying for this month’s award as Birmingham City duo Caolan Boyd-Munce and Jack Concannon and Leeds United pair Bobby Kamwa and Jack Clarke have all made the shortlist after netting impressive long-range efforts.
However, they are not the only ones to find the net from distance, with Jack Beardsell (Cheltenham Town), Joe Neal (Cambridge United), Josh Williams (Exeter City) and Kelland Watts (Newcastle United) also in the reckoning.
Elsewhere, Hartlepool United winger Liam Pritchard produced a magnificent solo run and finish to put himself in with a chance, while Nathan Shaw calmly slotted home a free-flowing Blackpool move to earn a worthy nomination.
Voting will remain open until noon on 26 October. You can vote for your favourite goal via our online poll or via Twitter using the hashtag attached to each goal.
