Wet weather got the better of many Under-18 fixtures at the start of Spring, meaning the latest instalment of League Football Education’s Goal of the Month competition includes a selection of the best goals in the Academy Leagues from March and April.
The final shortlist of the season is as competitive as ever, with 12 tremendous strikes making the cut.
Goals range from halfway-line stunners from Matt Fearnley (Bolton Wanderers) and Luis Garcia (Brighton & Hove Albion), to an acrobatic overhead kick by Jordan Ponticelli (Coventry City) and even a cheeky backheel from Great Nii-okie Evans (AFC Wimbledon).
Also in the mix are pinpoint free-kicks by Dennis Politic (Bolton Wanderers) and Charlie Walford (Port Vale), while previous Goal of the Month contenders Andronicos Georgiou (Stevenage) and Jahvan Davidson-Miller (Derby County) make another appearance.
Cracking strikes from Ben Folami (Ipswich Town), Jack Robson (Newcastle United), Liam Doyle (Coventry City) and Ralph Chea (Blackpool) complete the list.
Voting will remain open until 5pm on May 24. To vote for your favourite goal use the online poll or register your preference via Twitter using the hashtags provided.
