Goal of the Month - February 2015

Derby County feature prominently in League Football Education’s (LFE) Goal of the Month competition for February.

Rams youngsters Alex Babos and James Carvell head the 8 man shortlist that also features a player from Carlisle United for the first team. Connor Hammell, who has already tasted first-team action at Brunton Park represents the Cumbrians.

This month’s contenders in full are:

• James Carvell, Bolton Wanderers v DERBY COUNTY
• Reece Webb-Foster, Burton Albion v BRADFORD CITY
• Nico Cotton, SOUTHEND UNITED v Swindon Town
• Brandon Joseph-Baudi, Swindon Town v PORTSMOUTH
• Joshua Umerah, CHARLTON ATHLETIC v QPR
• Joe Charles, EXETER CITY v MK Dons
• Connor Hammell, CARLISLE UNITED v Fleetwood Town

LFE Chief Executive Alan Sykes said: “This competition remains popular and is a great advertisement of the work that is going on to develop young players at Football League clubs.”

Voting will remain open until 11am on 24 March.
