The team had to get up early this morning to travel to Francis Marion University in South Carolina. We set off at 8am and it took about 6 hours to get there so we stopped for dinner on the way. The game was scheduled at 4pm in the afternoon and it was the first regional game of the season, unfortunately the temperature was 100 degrees!
We played very well against a poor team really and won 8-0, which is a great start to state the obvious! I played well and got on the score sheet. It was quality to score my first goal. We then spent the night in a hotel and most of us slept for about 13 hours, probably due to the fact that we were all tired from the traveling and the heat during the game.
