Goodbye Ange

This would be my last week in Sweden, we had two training sessions mid-week but because we were out the race for promotion it was not serious and we just had a bit of fun.

Point Blank Paintballing

We started the week with training on Monday at 6pm; it was just a light training session with a 4 v 4 game. After training we went back to the hotel and had a game of poker but I wish I hadn’t bothered.

Karaoke Queen

As it had been a disappointing result at the weekend everyone was a bit down and thinking we were out of the running for promotion so training was not as good as usual. We just had a little game and it was slightly frustrating because no one was really trying and we were all feeling pretty sorry for ourselves.

Drunken Awakenings

I was so bored of the hotel breakfast that I decided to make breakfast for myself. I made egg and soldiers and it was really satisfying – even though it tasted awful, it was different to the pancakes that I usually have!

A Questionable Performance

I’ve had three days away from the pitch this week due to my sending off the previous week. We played bottom of the league side Heffners/Ortvikens IF but the game was awful – full of mistakes and people running round making wrong decisions which reminded me more of a school playground kick-around!

Back to School

It was an early Monday morning start today with training at 9.00. We started off with a little keep ball in a tight square, the standard wasn’t bad since the pitch that we were playing on reminded me more of a place where cows would graze rather than a place where you would find the beautiful game! This was due to our usual training pitch being water logged.

Training, the Swedish Way

Training started at 9am on Monday morning and we went straight in to a tight square keeping the ball one and two touch with two men in the middle trying to intercept the ball. We then went into a short passing session, moving the ball quickly to one another, and this developed into the next session where we finished with a shot on goal from one-touch build up play.
