Progression 09 – ‘The Assessment Trials’ offered footballers (who had been released following their AASE programme or after one year as a professional) the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of representatives from Premier League, Football League and Non League Clubs in the UK, European Clubs and Further and Higher Education institutions both in the UK and abroad.
Last years Trials saw 235 players being watched by over 100 Club representatives/scouts. In 2009, through ongoing Progression work, many more scouts came from further afield.
Progression 09 – The Assessment Trials also included further important improvements:
Filming and Online Performance analysis by E-Scout
The online performance analysis will be accessed by scouts and representatives throughout the US and Europe and is in addition to the performance reports by The Scouting Network and full game footage as introduced last year.
Player Placements in Europe
LFE are also able to fund up to 18 players to enjoy a 4 month extended work placement at Professional or Semi Professional Clubs in Sweden.
All player placements will have the opportunity to train and impress at the top level professional Club at one stage during their 16 weeks due to the umbrella model agreed with GIF Sundsvall.
