WHAT HAVE LFE DONE?

LFE have researched Challenger Sports and confirmed that they are an organisation who will offer an excellent opportunity for you to coach in the United States. Challenger Sports is the largest soccer camp company in the US and have established a reputation based upon professionalism and quality. We have also confirmed that they offer many opportunities for you to progress within the organisation.

WHAT ARE THE POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES?

Summer Camps
Challenger employ 900 British coaches every year who are interested in summer camp coaching opportunities. Camps run for periods of 6-12 weeks, between late May and early September. If you have a successful summer as a coach you can opt to extend your contract into the Autumn Camps programme for a further 4-6 weeks.

Once you have completed a successful Summer Camps programme you are also entitled to apply for the Challenger Club Trainer Programme.

The Challenger Club Trainer (CCT) Programme
Coaches will be contracted to work for periods of 5-9 months. CCT contracts start as early as 1st February but most start in March or April. The coach will work with a Club for the spring, then work as a coach on the Challenger Sports British Soccer Camps throughout the summer and then return to the same Club for the autumn.

GENERAL OUTLINE OF THE OPPORTUNITY

Challenger Sports offer an excellent opportunity for you to coach in the United States and will support you fully whilst you are there. The upfront cost to do this is £600 which is payable in three instalments.

The first instalment of £100 should be paid on the regional recruitment day. The second instalment of £200 should be paid/sent when the signed contract is returned to Challenger Sports. The third instalment of £300 should be paid on or before the training weekend which is a mandatory requirement of the programme.

DO I NEED ANY QUALIFICATIONS?

The only formal qualification that you will need is a Level 1 Coaching qualification but the following attributes would be desirable:

You will then need to attend a recruitment day (locations around the country). This will give you the opportunity to find out more information about the company and what to expect in the USA.

You will be expected to conduct a short practical coaching session (10–15 minutes) from one of the following topics:
