U’s Fans Urged To Attend FA Youth Cup Clash

Oxford Utd are encouraging fans to attend their third round FA Youth Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers on 7 December.

The U’s beat Dulwich Hamlet 2-0 in the second round to reach this stage of the competition for the first time in over a decade.

With Premier League side Bolton Wanderers coming to the Kassam Stadium next week the club are urging fans to turn-out in force to watch Chris Allen’s under-18 team.

Former Oxford Utd striker Roger Gibbins who now works helping to educate the clubs younger players as an LFE Regional Officer said:

“The game against Bolton will be the biggest game that a lot of Oxford’s Apprentices will have ever played in.

“They’re facing a Premier League team so unlike the last round they’ll be starting as underdogs but it’s cup football and you never know what could happen on the night.”
