Ryan Burge Moves To Port Vale

Port Vale have made their first summer signing after snapping up former Birmingham City Apprentice Ryan Burge.

The central midfielder has signed a two-year deal at Vale Park and he arrives from Blue Square Bet North side Hyde FC, the English partner club of Glenn Hoddle’s Academy.

The 22-year old began his career with the Blues and has since had spells with Barnet, Forest Green, Oxford City, Doncaster Rovers, Japanese side Machida Zelvia and Spanish fourth tier outfit Jerez Industrial.

When speaking to the club’s website about new signings Ryan Burge and Ben Williamson, Port Vale boss Micky Adams said: “Both Ryan and Ben are two young players with a lot of potential.”

“We believe the pair can have a big impact on the squad this season,” he added.

“Ryan is a creative central midfielder and will bring plenty of quality on the ball, but he is also a very hard-working individual.”
