Rochdale’s Bobby Grant Receives Plaudits From John Coleman

Rochdale Manager John Coleman says his summer-long pursuit of Bobby Grant is paying off.

Coleman gave Grant his first taste of senior football when the two were at Accrington Stanley.

And he has watched the 22-year-old forward score in each of his last four matches for Dale, including Saturday’s 2-1 win at League Two leaders Gillingham, since signing him from Scunthorpe on deadline day.

“I’ve tracked Bobby for ages,” said Coleman. “He’ll score goals at this level, there’s no doubt in my mind.”

“He’s a special talent and he showed on Saturday that he’s prepared to put a hard shift in as well.”

The 22-year-old, has hit five goals in six league games for Rochdale and is proving a perfect foil for veteran target man Dele Adebola.
