Quartet Take Their Place On LFE Tour

Birmingham City, Bradford City, Portsmouth and Sheffield United are heading to The Netherlands with their Under 18 squads after winning a place on LFE’s 2014-15 pre-season tour.

The quartet excelled during a rigorous application and selection process to fight off competition from over twenty other Football League clubs.

The trip which will embark at the back end of July and last for around a fortnight will see the four clubs based at top Eriedivise sides and allow their young players to go head to head against top continental opposition.

“We’re really pleased that we’re able to offer this trip to four of our clubs,” said LFE chief executive Alan Sykes.

“We’ve run this tour for a number of years. It’s great preparation for the season, a chance to build camaraderie, learn from foreign coaches and for the players to sample a different culture.”
