Palace Youngster Itching For Return To Fitness

Crystal Palace youngster Sean Scannell is itching to get back in to the thick of things.

The youngster, who has missed Palace’s opening four games following a pre-season injury sustained at Exeter City is currently working through a rehabilitation programme that should see him back in the next 7-8 weeks but he admitted that his football inactivity is frustrating.

“Watching training every day is just making me hungrier to play so I’m just looking forward to coming back and playing,” said Scannell.

“I had some good news after the injury in that it wasn’t as bad as first thought but now it’s just a case of working through the re-hab. It’s tough because I’ve never had to do it before and I’ve always been playing.”

“I just want to get in to the team and help us get up there with the big teams. I haven’t set any goals as such I just want to play well and hopefully score goals and I’ll take it from there”.
