Oldham’s McGrath Suffers Repeat Injury

Oldham Athletic winger Phillip McGrath has been the victim of a second anterior cruciate ligament injury.

ASE graduate McGrath is no stranger to this particular knee injury as he was struck down with ACL damage at the beginning of last season and ultimately was out of action for the majority of the campaign.

The 19-year old is a Northern Ireland junior and was offered new 12-month deal despite his unfortunate debut season as a professional.

McGrath will look to recover as soon as possible to avoid the prospect of missing a second season and has consulted a specialist with a view to undergo surgery next month.
