Millers Search For New Manager

Steve Thornber

Rotherham United Caretaker Manager Steve Thornber expects the Club will name a new manager this week.

Interviews are scheduled for this week with an appointment likely before the weekend. Head of Youth Thornber, who has led the Millers to consecutive draws, told BBC Radio Sheffield:

“I would have thought there would be a new Manager in place for the Barnet game on Saturday. They’ll probably appoint somebody on Thursday or Friday.”

Two candidates for the job, Steve Staunton and Steve Cotterill, were both present to watch the Millers draw 1-1 at Cheltenham on Saturday.

Former boss Ronnie Moore and West Brom first team coach Michael Appleton have also been linked with the job.
