LFE would like to thank all Clubs who have applied for this year’s Leonardo Pre-Season Tours opportunity.
The quality of responses from Clubs across the Championship through to League Two has been extremely encouraging.
LFE has received twenty three applications for the three available spaces to head to the Netherlands on a two-week pre-season tour.
The three successful Clubs will each be able take up to eighteen Apprentices each and three supporting members of staff to a country that has a track record of producing footballing talent that is disproportionate to its size.
Week one of the tour will see each team housed at a separate venue to undertake their own training and development programme while week two will see all Clubs participate in an eight team tournament against top level Clubs from throughout the world.
The tournament will take place at the renowned KNVB facility which has played host to a number of dutch masters including, Clarence Seedorf, Edgar Davids, Edwin Van der Sar and Ruud van Nistelrooy when on national team duty.
Applications will now go before an LFE appointed panel of judges and Clubs will be informed of the success of their application on 19th February.
