Six stunning goals make up the shortlist for League Football Education’s (LFE) Goal of the Month Award for January.

Ipswich Town’s Jack Willbye took the honours last month for his audacious 40-yard strike against Sunderland at Portman Road, there is plenty of talent on show this time around as six apprentices fight it out for the crown.

  • DIEUDONNE LONGALONGA, PETERBOROUGH UTD v Colchester Utd
  • SAMMIE SZMODICS, Peterborough Utd v COLCHESTER UTD
  • BRADLEY CARROLL, WBA v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
  • JACK STOBBS, Chelsea v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY
  • JAMIE HANSON, DERBY COUNTY v Stoke City
  • GEORGE BYERS, WATFORD v Norwich City

LFE chief executive Alan Sykes said: “As ever there are some cracking goals and some really talented young players on show and the competition remains a great advert for youth development programmes at Football League clubs.”

Voting will remain open until 5pm on Wednesday 19 February.
