Goal of the Season 2014-15

LFE’s Goal of the Season competition honours our monthly winners and brings the curtain down on another fabulous season in the Under-18 Academy League’s across the land.

The South coast is represented prominently in the form of Portsmouth duo James Granger and Adam May, while Brighton pair Jordan Maguire-Drew and Connor Tighe are also in the running to claim the ultimate prize.

The contenders in full are:

  • ALEX PATTISON, Manchester United v MIDDLESBROUGH
  • JORDAN MAGUIRE-DREW, Tottenham Hotspur v BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION
  • JAMES GRANGER, PORTSMOUTH v Swindon Town
  • CONNOR TIGHE, BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION v Arsenal
  • ADAM MAY, Plymouth Argyle v PORTSMOUTH
  • JAMES CARVELL, Bolton Wanderers v DERBY COUNTY
  • JACK DYCHE, SCUNTHORPE UNITED v Hartlepool United
  • JACK BOYLE, Birmingham City v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

LFE Chief Executive Alan Sykes said: “It’s great to see this competition culminate with such a strong shortlist of goals.

“There are a number of outstanding young players developing at Football League clubs and this is a perfect advertisement of that work.”

Voting will remain open until 5pm on 9 June.
