LFE’s Goal of the Month competition kicks off 2011/12 season with six of the best from August.
The shortlist is made up of goals scored by Apprentices playing in the Youth Alliance and Premier Academy Leagues.
The goal which has received the highest number of public votes by noon on 19 September will scoop the gong.
LFE Chief Executive, Alan Sykes commented:
“This competition was a resounding success last year. The quality of the goals was fantastic and it was a great advertisement of the work being conducted at Football League Clubs to develop talented young players. That was reflected in over thirty-thousand people visiting our website to watch the goals with close to twenty-thousand members of the public actually voting.”
“Judging by these six entries we can look forward to another successful season and it is pleasing to see such a high standard of goals on display.”
