Knocked Out of the FA Youth Cup

Not such good news to tell you this time, for starters we were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup last week by Norwich City. The game went all the way to the last few minutes of extra time and they just nicked it through a mistake!

The game was 0-0 at half time, with chances at either end for both us and Norwich, leaving the second half to be very open for a winner. We went 1-0 down with around 15 minutes to go, leaving us to fight back and get an equaliser in the third minute of injury time through one of the young lads who came on with 10 minutes to go.

The game went on into extra time for it only to be an error that happened a few minutes from time remaining to beat us. It was very hard for us all to take in as the lads put in a great shift throughout the whole 120 minutes, but the main thing now is for us to pick ourselves up and move onto the game against Crewe on Saturday.

We play Crewe which is an important game in the league table because we are just behind Crewe on points so if we can get a win it will be a great three points for us!

I will keep you all updated with how the next few games go for us… We will now certainly concentrate on the league now and hope to finish as high up there as possible because we are definitely not that far off third place, which will give us a boost to get back to winning ways and start winning again hopefully!
