Initial Assessments are carried out with each Apprentice on an individual basis to ascertain his academic ability before the training programme commences.
The LFE Regional Officer will deliver a presentation at this time to all new prospective Apprentices and Parents & Guardians.
Where possible, LFE Regional Officers will undertake Initial Assessments in partnership with the following individuals:
The assessment, which will include a basic skills test, will normally be carried out between April and June and will enable the Apprentice to be placed on the most appropriate educational programme based on his expected GCSE results.
